PPT (People, Process and Technology) Review - A company's ability to grow can be limited by any one of these variables. A PPT Review analyzes the accounting and information systems of a business; which includes the people, processes and technology in place. Our goal is to identify opportunities for improvement in the flow of information and efficient processes. The scope of these projects can also be tailored to a specific aspect of the accounting department, such as accounts payable or inventory management.
Software Selection and Implementation - There are hundreds of accounting software packages on the market. The wrong package will result in a large expense instead of a sound investment. We assist businesses in identifying the proper accounting software by considering current and future needs, industry, internal capabilities and reputation of the software vendor. We will prepare demo scripts to ensure the vendors are addressing needs specific to our client, and help evaluate the cost benefit of the different packages. Most importantly, we would assess the functionality that is included or would be required through front-end or back-end modifications. Once the software is selected, we will assist management in determining the proper training and implementation plan.
Software Upgrades and Utilization Assistance - Many companies are underutilizing their accounting software. This is often caused by not staying current with software updates and not properly training personnel. We will help management with a plan to get the software up to date and determine the extent of training necessary to maximize the return on investment.
Chart of Accounts Redesign - The chart of accounts is the foundation of the financial reporting system. In many instances, it should be redesigned to match the capabilities of the software with the reporting needs of the business.
Management Reporting Assessment - Getting reports that you don't look at? Not getting reports you need? Half way there? We will assess the usefulness of existing reports and help management create, modify or eliminate reports in order to give people the tools they need to excel at their job.
