The Abington resident assumed his new duties as of July 2007 and will work closely with the Firm’s five partners in areas of growth and strategy. He will also continue to direct the Personal Financial Planning Group at NWS.  Prior to his promotion, he served NWS as a Senior Tax Manager.

Mr. Barry recently added the designation of Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor ^SM(CRPC^®) to his credentials. He also holds a Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designation from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, as well as his CFP® and CPA designations. He is also a part-time professor at Stonehill College, where he teaches a course in tax accounting.

Mr. Barry received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Stonehill College in Easton, MA and holds a Master of Science in Taxation Degree from Bentley College, Waltham, MA. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants and serves on the executive committee of the Norfolk and Plymouth County Estate and Business Planning Council.  He is a 12-year member of the Abington Planning Board.
