Timothy P. Barry, Senior Manager at Needel, Welch & Stone, P.C. Receives Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor Designation
ROCKLAND, MA, ISSUED JANUARY 5, 2007...Timothy P. Barry of Abington, Senior Manager – Tax Services with Needel, Welch & Stone, P.C., one of the area’s leading CPA firms, has added the designation of Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM (CRPC®) to his list of certifications.
Barry, a resident of Abington and an 18-year veteran of Needel, Welch & Stone, P.C.,
recently completed the course study and passed the examination required to obtain the CRPC ® designation. Information learned from this coursework will bolster his ability to assist clients with pre and post retirement planning.
A Certified Financial Planner ™ practitioner and a Certified Public Accountant, Barry directs the Personal Financial Planning Group at Needel, Welch & Stone, P.C.
Barry holds a Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designation from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, in addition to his CFP®, CPA and CRPC® designations.
Barry received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Stonehill College in Easton, MA and holds a Master of Science in Taxation Degree from Bentley College, Waltham, MA. He is a part-time professor of Taxation and Managerial Accounting at Stonehill College and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants and serves on the executive committee of the Norfolk and Plymouth County Estate and Business Planning Council. He is an 11-year member of the Abington Planning Board.
