Needel, Welch & Stone's Jake Lynch Participates in AICPA Peer Review Board Meeting
ROCKLAND, MA, ISSUED MARCH 22, 2005. John ("Jake") Lynch, a principal at the CPA firm Needel, Welch & Stone, P.C., recently participated in an American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Peer Review Board Meeting held in Florida .
Lynch, a member of AICPA since 2004, met with 20 board members from across the United States . The AICPA Peer Review Program is dedicated to enhancing the quality of accounting, auditing and at testation services performed by AICPA members in a
public practice.
"It is a privilege to be a member of such a great organization, and by working together with my colleagues we continue to brainstorm on new ideas to assist firms and individuals and strive to do our best," said Lynch.
Lynch has performed a similar role on the state level, having served the Massachusetts Society of CPAs as chairman of the Report Acceptance Board, and Peer Review Executive Committee.
Lynch, a Weymouth resident with more than two decades' experience working with privately-owned and managed companies on accounting, tax and business advisory matters, including business valuation and litigation consulting. In addition, he performs peer reviews for other firms in the area.
He holds a Master's Degree in Taxation from Bentley College; he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Suffolk University. In addition to his committee role with the AICPA, he is a member of that organization as well as the Massachusetts Society of Public Accountants. He also serves as a Trustee of the South Shore Economic Development Corporation, and as a member of the Loan Review Committee, which considers SBA-backed loan requests.
