Needel, Welch & Stone participates in Job Shadowing Program
with Rockland High School
ROCKLAND, MA, ISSUED MARCH 5, 2005. Needel, Welch & Stone, P.C., a Rockland CPA Firm, recently
provided two Rockland High School sophomores the chance to learn firsthand about the field of accounting,
as the 40-year old firm participated as a community sponsor of the National Job Shadowing Day 2005.
During the week of February 14, for the fourth consecutive year, Rockland High School worked with area businesses during the National Job Shadowing Day. The program allows students to spend part of a workday with an individual employed in an occupation that the student is considering as a career choice.
Each year, Needel, Welch and Stone, P.C. hosts two Rockland High School Students to give them a chance to learn firsthand about opportunities in the field of accounting. Jim Bailey, a principal at NWS and the firm's Director of Tax Services, and colleague June Keane, Manager of Accounting and Auditing Services worked with high school sophomores, Katie Kilgallen and Melissa Gibbons.
"It is a pleasure to have students come into our firm and enhance their overall educational experience,
and to learn first hand what their future career choice is all about," said Jim Bailey, Director of

Throughout the day, the students learned about job responsibilities, certain requirements needed to enter the accounting field including which high schools courses prepare an individual for an accounting career, knowledge of salary range as well as any pros and cons to help structure their future decision.
